At least 21 applications for the Fergus Falls High School Principal position will be reviewed by a selection committee starting Monday. School District Official Elaine Jahnke said late Friday morning she had 21 applications in hand, but was not sure if any more would show up before the 5 p.m. deadline. Depending on how Monday’s selection committee meeting goes and the number of candidates selected, the committee could be interviewing in early August, said District Personnel Manager Marian Wasvick. The district hopes to have a new principal in place by mid-August, Wasvick said. The new principal will replace Mark Sleeper, who has accepted a high school principal position at Princeton Schools and plans to start Aug. 1. Sleeper has served the Fergus Falls High School for 16 years – four as assistant principal and 12 as principal.
