Chester Bredeson
Published 12:00am Wednesday, November 24, 2004On Nov. 25, 1950, he married Idella Anderson at Fosston. The couple lived in Fergus Falls and later at Jewett Lake. He was employed at garages in Elbow Lake, Pelican Rapids, and Fergus Falls. He also worked in road construction for several years at B.K. Soby and Dieseth Company. He belonged to the 49ers Trade Union, worked on the Ottertail Power expansion of the Hoot Lake Plant, and on the construction of the beet plant in Wahpeton. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Fergus Falls, the Lion’s, Elks, VFW Post No. 612, and the AARP all of Fergus Falls. He was past president of Methodist Men’s Club, Lions Club, Church Who-So-Ever Group, Isaack Walton League, and a Red Cross Bloodmobile. Chester also enjoyed traveling. Chester and Idella were very proud of the fact that they had traveled in all 50 states. Survivors include one sister, Lorraine Sprenger of Traverse City, Mich.; two brothers-in-law, Warren Erickson of Fallon, Nev., and Stan Noyes of Sacramento, Calif.; and one sister-in-law, Doris Bredeson of Savannah, Ga. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Idella, who died in August 2004; parents; two brothers, Harry and Kenneth; and sisters: Clarice Rian, Irene Noyes and Eleanor Erickson.
