22-month-old tests positive for pot &045;&045; twice

The girl first tested positive for the drug two weeks ago after she visited with her father, and her mother became suspicious of drug use in the house and took her to Lake Region Hospital for testing, police said. Police began investigating and tested both the mother and father for the drug, but both were negative, according to police detective Carol Schmaltz. The girl again went to her father’s home, police said, after which the mother again was suspicious of drug use and tested her daughter. Schmaltz said police are now investigating to see who else may have exposed the girl to the drug. Police are unsure how much marijuana was in the girl’s system, Schmaltz said.
