They moved to Richmond, Virginia. She moved back to St. Paul and worked at Highland State Bank and later at Northstar Bank in Roseville. She retired in 1995. During the years she lived in St. Paul she would spend her holidays with her brother Dean and his family in Fergus Falls. Once she was unable to drive, she spent the holidays with her niece, Lynn (Jim) Merritt in Roseville. She is survived by her sister-in-law Ella Tomhave of Fergus Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry Tomhave and Dean Tomhave; sister Lorraine Ellsworth; and one niece and her husband, Virginia and Mike Lunning.
