“We had perfect weather and rummage sale traffic was steady all day,” Resident Services Coordinator Jennifer Rogholt said. “The Village Cooperative marketing committee and members who organized the sale made it an incredible success.”
People coming to the charity rummage sale at The Village Cooperative on the northwest side of Fergus Falls were treated to complimentary hots dogs, chips and bottled water.
Sponsors included Service Food, SunMart, Sara Lee, Barrel O’ Fun, Viking Coke, Pepsi, Security State Bank, Otter Tail Telecom, The Daily Journal, Lakes Radio, PEG Access, Senior Perspectives and the Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
Assisting the residents at The Village Cooperative were Leigh Lake from Someplace Safe, Erin Tysver from Health Resources LifeCare Center and volunteers from each of those two organizations that were recipients of the money raised on Saturday.
“Volunteers from The Village, Someplace Safe and Health Resources made Saturday’s rummage sale successful,” Rogholt said. “People took on various responsibilities, worked well together and had fun visiting — all the while making this a highly worthwhile effort.”
