Missing cats feared dead:

A Battle Lake resident reported they have 20 to 50 cats running at large that they feed. They fear some have been shot because they seem to be missing about 10 of them. They were warned by Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department that they could be charged with public nuisance for having so many cats roaming free if neighbors decide to lodge a complaint.

No injuries in crash:

No one was injured when a van owned by Transit Laidlaw collided with a Buick around 9:15 a.m. Monday.

According to Fergus Falls Police, the Buick was attempting to turn left onto Lincoln Avenue. At the same time, the driver of the van, which was traveling east on Lincoln, ran a red light because the driver was blinded by the sun and didn’t see the light.

Sexual assault:

A sexual assault in Clitherall was reported to Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department Monday. The department is investigating. No other details were released.

Purse, phone stolen:

Someone broke into a vehicle parked at Pioneer Senior Cottages early Monday and took a purse and cell phone, Fergus Falls Police said.

Stolen card used:

A Fergus Falls man reported the theft of his bill fold and debit card. The card had been used. Fergus Falls Police are investigating. Dollar amount lost was not available.

Window shot out:

A home on Rush Lake near the city of Ottertail had a window shot out. No one was hurt. Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department recovered a .22 bullet and are investigating.

Wall vandalized:

A wall at Fergus Falls Middle School was spray-painted. It was reported to Fergus Falls Police at 8:20 a.m. Monday.
