McManigle gets 180 days:

Jesse Allan McManigle, 29, Deer Creek, pleaded guilty in Otter Tail County District Court March 7 and was sentenced March 17 for fifth degree controlled substance crime. On March 3 in Otter Tail County, McManigle was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

McManigle was sentenced to a stayed sentence of 12 months and one day in prison. He will serve 180 days in jail, with 25 days credit for time served. He will pay $1,582 in fines and court costs and $410 in restitution.

Jail time for perjury:

Wayne Elmo Sorem, 53, Perham, entered and Alford plea in Otter Tail County District Court in February and was sentenced March 17 for felony perjury. On March 15, 2006, in Otter Tail County, Sorem gave false answers to authorities pertaining to obtaining public assistance.

Sorem was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison, stayed for five years, with up to five years probation. He will serve 20 days in jail and pay $1,082 in fines and court costs and $5,412.80 in restitution.
