She spent most of her early life in Fergus Falls, where, following two years of community college she worked as a bookkeeper from 1970 to 1972.

On Aug. 1, 1972, she married Clinton McMullin in Great Falls, Mont. God blessed this union with four children, Michael, Chad, James, and Lindsay.

After moving to Oklahoma City in 1998, she worked at the Edmond Medical Center, until an injury forced her to retire in 2001.

During her nursing career, she won numerous awards for patient care because she always tried to treat every patient as though they were family.
