FFPD identifies RTC vandals

An investigation by the Fergus Falls Police Department has found five adults and three juveniles responsible for damage to the tunnel system at the Regional Treatment Center Aug. 23.

The suspects allegedly got into the underground system and rode in one of the motorized carts used to navigate the tunnels.

A gate and a steel door sustained about $3,000 worth of damage.

According to a police release, the suspects may be charged with second degree burglary, criminal damage to property and trespassing, depending on their involvement with the crime and their cooperation with the investigation.
