The Fergus Falls Volleyball team suffered another five-game hard-luck loss Thursday night, this time to Willmar by scores of 15-25, 25-12, 20-25, 25-22, 12-15.
“I’m not dissapointed,” said coach Renee Erickson. “We’re finding the right mix and making adjustments.”
The Otters went 83-86 serving with four aces. Whitney Moore served 18-19 and had 11 kills and 14 assists. Mariah Monke had 12 blocks and 10 kills. Nikki Clouse went 12-13 from the service line with two aces and 12 digs.
“We’re going to continue to work hard,” said Erickson. “With the playoffs coming up, we’re hoping we are gelling at the right time.”
The Otters will be in Detroit Lakes on Monday and will host Brainerd on Senior Night on Tuesday.
Underwood 3, Hillcrest 0:
The Comets struggled against Underwood Thursday, losing in three straight games, 8-25,12-25,10-25.
Sophia Undsethled the Comets with six digs, 13 serve receive, and three kills. Greta Tungseth had nine set assists while Andrea Christenson had four kills.
For Underwood, lone senior Ariana Odegard served 23-23 with two aces, added three kills with no attack errors, eight digs with no errors, and added 21 set assists. She was honored by her team on senior night.
“Our team kill efficiency was .321 which is one of our best,” Underwood Coach Diane Ross said.
Aann Bjorklund had 17 kills out of 32-33 attempts, Hannah Rocholl added 6 kills on 8-10 attempts, Jasmine Mertz and Ellen Ferry each had 4 kills, and Kari Stroh added 2. Underwood’s overall record is 16-6 and our conference record is 7-2.
The Rockets travel to Brandon-Evansville Tuesday and finish the regular season at the Underwood Invite next Thursday. Hillcrest travels to Battle Lake next Tuesday for its last regular season game.

Underwood defeated Battle Lake 3-2 Tuesday night in a tight match (21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 21-25, 15-8).
“It was a typical Little 8 Conference battle,” said Underwood coach Diane Ross. “Each and every point was a hard fight.”
