DWI sentencing
Published 12:00pm Thursday, December 4, 2008Otter Tail County DWI Court will determine jail time for a Dent woman who plead guilty to second degree DWI in late November. Sheriff’s deputies located Maud Rosene Hoppa, 59, near her home after a report of suspicious driving on State Highway 108 near South Lake Lida Aug. 21. A run of her vehicle’s plates showed Hoppa’s driver’s license had been revoked. Deputies observed Hoppa to be intoxicated as she sat in her vehicle, and took her to the Pelican Rapids Police Department for breath tests. Hoppa will be placed on supervised probation to the DWI Court Team, who will determine her jail time. She has a previous DWI from May, which resulted in the license revocation.
