Collision injures Fargo man
Published 2:29pm Thursday, February 26, 2009A Fargo man was critically injured in a head-on collision this morning between Elizabeth and Erhard.
Paul M. Polzin, 48, was southbound on U.S. Highway 59 around 9:25 a.m. when his 2001 Buick entered a snow cloud and traveled into the highway’s northbound lane, hitting a 2006 Ford pickup driven by Peter W. Restad, 50, Pelican Rapids, according to the State Patrol. Polzin was listed in critical condition at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Restad was treated and released.
Deputies with the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
In an accident Wednesday afternoon, a Dilworth woman was injured when her 2008 Pontiac rolled along Interstate 94 near milepost 50 around 1:55 p.m. Emily J. Liljestrand, 19, was taken to Lake Region Hospital with non-serious injuries.
