Owners Leslie and Scott Swartz, of Underwood, found new owners for their dog “Duke” after he bit their daughter twice.

The Otter Tail County Board was agreeable to the arrangement during a dog bite hearing regarding Duke Tuesday. Dog bite hearings are held after a dog has bitten twice.

Duke bit the Swartz’s daughter in February and then again in September, according to Public Health Director Diane Thorson.

The new owners, who live in Rothsay, don’t have children, according to Thorson.
