Lakeland Hospice thankful
Published 6:00am Sunday, November 29, 2009November is Hospice & Home Care month and we are very thankful for all of those people who have supported our efforts this past year. We are especially thankful for our volunteers and board members, our donors, employees and friends who helped us celebrate 25 years of bringing quality healthcare to our region.
2009 has been a tremendous year for us at Lakeland Hospice & Home Care, but also for our community. We had a terrific celebration in April with the 25th Anniversary Extravaganza. We had another successful Hospice Motorcycle Ride in September and we are so pleased to have our Lakeland Hospice House open and helping patients. In October we were able to host Camp Emily for our third year and guide over two dozen children and adults through the grieving process.
We are eternally grateful to everyone who helps us touch lives, especially our patients and their families. Entrusting us to their care is an incredible responsibility and we will continue to do our best to be compassionate and always mindful of their dignity and comfort.
Thank you to everyone in our 15 county service area for your support, encouragement and confidence. We look forward to being of service for the next twenty-five years and beyond!
