Driver falls asleep, crashes
Published 11:22am Thursday, December 10, 2009An Elbow Lake man was not seriously injured when he lost control of his vehicle and hit an approach around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Tyler Michael Anderson, 19, told the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office he’d fallen asleep while driving, causing him to lose control of his 1998 Cadillac Seville on County Highway 1 south of Fergus Falls. A report from a passerby led authorities to Anderson’s unoccupied vehicle, which was found in a ditch with severe front end damage. Authorities made contact with Anderson later in the day.
