Bar patron brings guns, makes threats
Published 3:36pm Friday, December 11, 2009A man who allegedly brought two handguns to a Hankinson, N.D., bar is in the Richland County Correctional Facility on multiple charges.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Spare Tire bar in Hankinson Wednesday afternoon on a report a man had shown up with handguns, looking for someone he said he had “25,000 reasons to kill,” according to a news release. The man, identified as 40-year-old James Theodore Toms II of Hankinson, was located at his apartment, where authorities found a small marijuana grow operation.
Toms, who has three active warrants out of Cass County, is charged with terrorizing, manufacturing marijuana and bringing a dangerous weapon into a liquor establishment.
The sheriff’s office says an investigation is ongoing, with further charges pending.
