Assault reported near Vine

A 17-year-old male was assaulted Friday night near the corner of Vine Street and Lincoln Avenue.

The teen reported to police Tuesday that three men assaulted him around 9:30 p.m. Friday during a walk to the grocery store.

The incident reportedly started when one of the four suspects called the victim a profane name. The victim was then punched in the face by one suspect, followed by a round of punching and kicking by all four suspects, according to the report.

Photographs of the victim’s injuries, which included a black eye and a cut on the mouth, were taken the by Fergus Falls Department.
