Published 7:30am Friday, May 7, 2010If you haven’t planned anything yet for Mother’s Day, it’s not too late. For those looking for a place to dine, The Bigwood Event Center is hosting a Mother’s Day Buffet Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Entertainment for the weekend includes a rare opportunity Saturday night to see local musicians David Stoddard and Anthony Miltich perform together with a band at A Center for the Arts. On Friday evening, A Center for the Arts is pairing with The Spot on Lincoln Avenue to host the film, “Bottle Shock.” Before the show, The Spot will be serving Chateau Montelena, the wine the movie is known for.
Friday, May 7
- 1-94 Speedway is hosting races from 7 to 11 p.m.
- A Center for the Arts is pairing up The Spot to host a night of wine and entertainment. The movie, “Bottle Shock” is being hosted at 7:30 p.m. at A Center for the Arts. Prior to the film, The Spot will serve Chateau Montelena, the wine featured in the film.
Saturday, May 8
- The Fergus Falls Jaycees is hosting Pitch, Hit & Run for kids ages 7-14 at the American Legion Field. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The event begins at 9 a.m.
- Anthony Miltich and David Stoddard are performing together at 7:30 p.m. at A Center for the Arts. Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 the day of the show
- The Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank are playing at 9 p.m. at the Silver Dollar Saloon in Elizabeth
- A Center for the Arts is hosting a African Drumming Workshop from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is $15
Sunday, May 9
- The Bigwood Event Center is hosting a Mother’s Day Buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prices are $15.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors 55 and older and $7.95 for children 10 and under. Children three and under are admitted for free
