Nelson graduates from basic training [UPDATED]

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Lucas D. Nelson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of David Nelson of Pillager and brother of Amanda Hillukka of Pelican Rapids.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Nelson graduated in 2008 from Pillager High School and received an associate degree in 2008 from Central Lakes College, Brainerd.
