Fields vandalized by rampaging vehicle

A farm in rural Erhard received an unpleasant surprise on Monday when it was discovered that a vehicle had driven through two fields.

The discovery was made at about 7:30 p.m. at 18429 332nd St. A vehicle had driven through a 15-acre bean field and a neighboring hay field, causing “substantial damage,” according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident is still under investigation. The sheriff’s office has a suspect.
