Lake Christina accesses to be closed until mid-November

Public water boat access on Lake Christina in Douglas and Grant counties will be temporarily closed to facilitate the construction of a pumping station that will allow the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to manage the lake’s water levels.

Accesses will close Monday, Sept. 20, and remain closed until construction is complete, which is expected to be in mid-November.

The Christina Ina Anka Lake Association is working to secure an alternate public access while the DNR access is closed.

For more information, waterfowl hunters and other users may contact Tom Carlson, DNR waterfowl habitat specialist in the Fergus Falls area office, by calling 218-739-7576, ext. 244.
