A Willmar man was seriously injured after the SUV he was driving near Ashby rolled on Interstate Highway 94 Wednesday afternoon.grains

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jose Sierra, 41, was driving his 2003 Ford Escape east on I-94 at about 2:15 p.m. when he lost control. The vehicle rolled into the ditch and hit a large road sign, totaling the SUV and injuring Sierra.

Sierra was transported by ambulance to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. Though he was seriously injured, the State Patrol listed his injuries as “non-life threatening.” Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
