A Fergus Falls man was taken to the hospital last night after he rolled his vehicle on County Highway 10 east of Elizabeth.

According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department, Kent Salwei, 48, was driving his vehicle on the highway at about 7 p.m. when he lost control, rolling his vehicle and ending up in a shallow pool of water on the side of the road. He was extricated from his vehicle by Elizabeth Rescue and was then taken to Lake Region Hospital, where he was treated for unknown injuries.

Law enforcement believes that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Charges against Salwei are pending.
