Teens go off road in slough

Two teens managed to get out of a partially submerged car east of Elizabeth on Monday without receiving any injuries, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office reported.

A 16-year-old female was driving east on a slick roadway on County Highway 10, just west of County Highway 27, when she tried to negotiate a long left curve. She lost control of her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier and drove the car into a frozen slough, rolling and eventually coming to rest upside down and partially submerged, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department. Both teens managed to exit the car without harming themselves.
