Published 11:46am Thursday, December 9, 2010

A 17-year-old Erhard girl received minor injuries on Wednesday after she lost control of her vehicle and hit another at the intersection of Tower Road and Weyrens Road in Fergus Falls.

According to the Fergus Falls Police Department, the teen was heading north on Tower Road at 6:30 p.m., while Tammy Kay Mortenson, 38, of Fergus Falls, was traveling south.

As the two cars neared each other, the teen lost control of her vehicle on the icy road and drove into the southbound lane, causing Mortenson to strike the girl’s vehicle on the front passenger side.

Both cars were towed, and the teen was transported by ambulance to Lake Region Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
