Burglar duo rearrested

The two people who were allegedly caught in the act of burglarizing a home near Elizabeth on Friday were taken back to jail on Monday, after the county attorney’s office issued a warrant for their arrests.

Joel James McManigle, 22, of rural Vergas, and Deanna Louise Nelson, 40, of rural Pelican Rapids, were released from jail over the weekend after it was ruled that there was not enough probable cause in an incident report to keep them in jail. The county attorney’s office was closed on Friday, so formal charges could not be filed until Monday.

The two are now back in jail on a charge of first degree burglary.
