Published 11:28am Monday, December 27, 2010 Updated 12:51pm Monday, December 27, 2010

Two people were nabbed by an Otter Tail County deputy on Friday morning in the middle of what appeared to be a burglary.

According to the sheriff’s office, Deanna Nelson, 40 of rural Pelican Rapids, and Joel McManigle, 22, of rural Vergas, were arrested at about 6 a.m. on suspicion of burglary. Their car was allegedly parked at a home on 20654 County Highway 10, and they appeared to be in the act of burglarizing the home.

The two were taken into custody and were later released after it was ruled that the criminal report lacked sufficient probable cause to keep them in jail. However, the case will still move forward in the court system.
