Howard charged with forging prescriptions

James Francis Howard, 46, Fergus Falls, has been charged in Otter Tail County District Court with forging a prescription.

Howard is accused of calling a pharmacy and posing as a doctor to place a prescription for Adderal. The pharmacy technician, who knew the doctor, recognized that it wasn’t the doctor’s voice on the phone.

The tech called police.
