Published 3:11pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Progress on possibly converting the Kirkbride Building of the Regional Treatment Center into a rehabilitation center for returning veterans is coming slowly but surely.

The city has scheduled a 5 p.m. meeting with representatives from Tenica, its consulting firm on the project, for Jan. 31. At the meeting, Tenica will report its progress and its conclusions on the viability of the project so far, and council members and city staff will discuss the appropriate next steps to take.
