A St. Paul man was injured after a boat he was riding in on Otter Tail Lake was involved in a collision on Friday night.

The collision occurred around 10:45 p.m. A boat driven by Scott Heim, 36, of Davenport Iowa, was headed back to a public access when it was struck on the right rear by another boat driven by Michael Lau, 27, of Inver Grove Heights, law enforcement reported. One of the boats capsized (law enforcement did not immediately report which boat), and four people were thrown into the water, but all managed to make it to safety.

Steven Lorr, 47, of St. Paul, was riding in the boat driven by Lau. He was transported by ambulance to Lake Region Hospital for an evaluation of his injuries.
