Well wishes to the graduating class

In 1900 commencement exercises consisted of selections by the orchestra, president’s address, class history, farewells, class song, unveiling of class motto, and class prophecy. Sydney Shonts was the class president.
Fanny May gave the class history at the end of which she mentioned the picnic at Ten Mile Lake and the class photograph taken the week prior.
Frank Frankoviz delivered the class farewells largely directed to the junior class. The class song was sung to the tune of “The Green Fields of Virginia.”
Sadie Gardner unveiled the class motto, “Non Nobis Solum,” which translates, “not for ourselves alone.” Lillian Mars gave the class prophecy. Elizabeth Green, the valedictorian, addressed her classmates.
Miss Terry presented the class and Supt. J. A. Vandyke presented the diplomas.

Members and children 4 and under are free. Large group tours are welcome. Guided tours can be arranged in advance. Meeting space is available. Museum hours through May: 9-5, Monday through Friday.
