ALEXANDRIA — The Fergus Falls 14U girls got off to a roaring start this season as they defeated Alexandria 2 Team 3-2 Tuesday evening.

Hannah Baker started the scoring for Fergus as she took the opening kickoff down the field and found the back of the net to put the 14U girls up early.

Brittany Kollman notched another goal for Fergus 7 minutes later with assists from Baker and Becca Hanson.

Alexandria was able to get on the board at the 16 minute mark, but Fergus’ Kevy Konynenbelt knocked in another goal to keep the 14U girls at a distance.

Alexandria would respond one more time in the game, but neither team could break through in the second half.

The 14U girls are back in action on Thursday as they travel back to Alexandria to take on Alex’s 1 team.
