Northtown gas station burglarized [UPDATED]

A burglar or burglars broke into the Northtown gas station on County Highway 88 early Sunday morning, making off with cash and some store merchandise.

The sheriff’s office believes the burglary happened around 3 a.m. The burglar smashed a window to gain entry and then stole an unspecified amount of cash and merchandise, including some money from an ATM that was damaged during the burglary.

There was also some damage to the building’s exterior and to a phone junction box at the station.
