EAST GRAND FORKS — The Fergus Falls Cyclone 14U girls experienced a heartbreaker as a late goal gave East Grand Forks the win Thursday evening 3-2.

The home team jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and was able to keep it that way going into the half.

The Cyclones came on in the second half as striker Sophia Kuehl scored on a pass by Hannah Baker. Fergus was able to knot the game up at 2 as Brittany Kollman found the back of the net off a Ashley Vaughn assist.

The 14U girls looked to have momentum in their favor, until the 3 minute mark as East Grand Forks got the last laugh with a game winning goal.

The Cyclone will look to get back to their winning ways as they travel to Fargo over the weekend to participate in the Scheels’ Soccer Tournament.
