Perhaps it’s Goodwin who should apologize
Published 10:48am Wednesday, June 29, 2011My thanks to David Adams, Peter Balega, Jerome Mullins for their letters printed on Friday, June 17 regarding the situation between Hoffman and Goodwin.
Having met Sen. Hoffman, I found it hard to believe this story as presented originally. For an unfortunate number of years the media has been biased in the political area and I, for one, would appreciate getting a more complete report of happenings. It is up to “we the people” to decide … kudos to Hoffman. Perhaps an apology from Sen. Goodwin and those who misrepresented this situation is in order?

No, this situation was not “mis”-represented. While I sincerely hope that Ms. Hoffman did not tweet out of a childish wish for controversy, I do believe she “tweeted” without truly having heard the message. Perhaps a mature response would have been to respond IN SESSION to Sen. Goodwin, by asking the question, “Excuse me, but are you calling our handicapped “imbeciles and idiots”? Then the two senators could have truly dealt with the issue immediately. Instead, Ms. Hoffman’s tweet was repeated by a political operative known for inflammatory actions. So in essence, both Ms. Goodwin and Ms. Hoffman have been wronged by the re-tweet.
A common conservative response….blame the victim.
huh???
Sue, you are obviously saying something good and decent when both Ackermunk and Margie jump on you. Be content in the knowledge that your feelings expressed here are felt by an overwhelming number of people here in the district.
