Cabin burglar steals tractor

The county sheriff’s office is investigating the theft of a tractor and the burglary of a lake cabin in Ottertail. The theft was reported Wednesday.

The incident took place at 35131 Quiet Waters Rd. The cabin’s owner had not been to the cabin for a while, so it is unknown when the theft occurred.

The burglar or burglars broke into the cabin at the address and stole a crossbow in a hard case and a cutlery set. From the property’s shed, the burglar took some tools. Finally, a John Deere garden tractor with a snowblower attachment was stolen, along with a small utility trailer that may have been used to haul the tractor.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 998-8555.
