The Henning man who allegedly threatened another man with a knife at the apartments on 407 West Fir Ave. was charged in court on Tuesday with second degree assault.

Court records state that two men walked into the courtyard of the apartments on Saturday afternoon, where they men Branagen Jordan Theisen, 20. Theisen allegedly got into an argument with one of the men, which ended with Theisen saying, “You’ve got five seconds to get out of here or something bad is going to happen,” before pulling a knife from his pocket.

At this point, a woman came on the scene and convinced Theisen to go back into his apartment.

She then allegedly told him to not come out until he had cooled off and to not bring any weapons into the courtyard.

At that point, he allegedly said, “In that case, here, take this too,” and handed her a set of brass knuckles from his pocket. After police took witness reports, they arrested Theisen shortly after 5 p.m.
