Visitors and residents of Fergus Falls can now see the city’s historic side with the help of a new brochure from the Otter Tail County Historic Society and the Historic Preservation Committee.

The brochure, which was funded by a Legacy grant, collects 40 pages of Fergus Falls’ historical buildings and structures and gives a brief history of each. With it, residents and visitors can go on a self-guided, historic walking tour of the city.

“If people are often coming to places and saying ‘What is there to do in town?’ from a historic standpoint we can guide them to downtown and … to our historic buildings,” said Chris Schuelke, executive director of the historic society.

More than 2,000 of the brochures are available at the historical society’s museum.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau also sponsored the brochure.
