A Winnie the Pooh lawn statue was used to vandalize a mailbox in a bizarre theft and vandalism call in Fergus Falls on Tuesday.

Police responded to the call at the 900 block of Westside Drive shortly before noon. Upon arrival, the officer learned that four lawn ornaments had been recently stolen from a nearby home. One of them had been returned, and another, shaped like Winnie the Pooh, was found smashed near a damaged mailbox on the 900 block.

It appeared that someone had thrown the statue at the mailbox to vandalize it. The case is still under investigation.
