The Otter Supper Club and Lodge changed hands on Friday, when it was sold to Dan Hurder, a Fargo resident who works with Hilton Hotels.Sen

Though Hurder works with Hilton, he and some other business partners plan to independently own and operate the Supper Club. Hurder said he began looking at purchasing the establishment about four months ago.

“I came out here, I liked the character, (and) I liked the atmosphere that it had,” he said. “After looking around, the price was right.”

Hurder plans on renovating parts of the building and making some other improvements, as well as changing up the menu items a bit. He encouraged people who haven’t stopped by in a while to do so and check out the new setting. At the same time, he said, the Supper Club will hold onto all of the things people like about it.

“We’re not going to miss a beat at all,” he said.
