Austin R. Wentzel of Underwood was commissioned as a Second Leutenant in the U.S. Air Force on May 21, 2011, after graduating from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He received a
degree in Computer Science along with a minor in Aerospace studies with the Air Force R.O.T.C. Upon completion of further training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Tx, Lt. Wentzel will be stationed at Eielson Air Base in Fairbanks, Ark. Specializing as an aircraft maintenance officer. He graduated in 2007 from M-Sate through the Post Secondary Education Option. He is the son of Richard and Debra Wentzel of Underwood.
