Donald “Don” Engen, 60, died Wednesday
Published 10:54am Friday, July 29, 2011Donald Engen, July 27, 2011, at Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta, N.D., where he was a resident.
He was born Jan. 23, 1951, in Price, Utah, the son of Melane and Merlene (Reese) Engen. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Bloomington in 1968.
Don served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, serving in Thailand where he loaded bombs. After his military service he was employed as a sales representative in the electronic field.
Don enjoyed golfing, water skiing, fast boats, and politics.
Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his sister, Bonnie (Greg) Larson of Erhard; his stepmother, Karen Engen of Battle Lake; a niece, Heather (Randy) Bitzan of Brandon; and a nephew, Sean Greeney of Fairfax, Va.
There will be a private family service at a later date. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
