A 25th Big Friday [UPDATED]

In its 25th year, Fergus Falls Park and Recreation’s ‘Big Friday’ baseball and softball tournament was once again a major success.

From a thrilling, high-scoring start to a shutout ending, parents, fans and opposing players got the feel of playing in the showcased event.

The event opened with the T-ball championship that saw the Orioles score 12 runs in the third inning on their way to a 31-27 victory over the Braves.

In the second game on the slate, the Indians were able to hold off the Brewers 15-13 for the Toss League title.

In the Softball League championship, the Twins thumped the Angels 24-18.

A pitchers’ duel took place in the Dwarf League championship as the Yankees were able to edge the Pirates 2-1.

In the final game of the afternoon, the Mets claimed a 8-0 shutout victory over the

Brewers to be crowned the Pony League champions.
