U of M Extension plans irrigated corn silage plot tour [UPDATED]

Plan to attend the University of Minnesota Extension Irrigated Corn Silage Plot Tour at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 2, at at the Dan Dreyer Farm northeast of Ottertail.

The program will include Doug Holen, Dr. Phil Glogoza, and Jim Paulson of the University of Minnesota Extension discussing forage research updates, forage insect pests, and harvesting and feeding quality forages. Time will also allow for general forage discussion to include any and all 2011 production issues. District sales managers will be discussing hybrid evaluations and give company updates.

Lunch will be provided at Betty’s Pantry following the program at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Directions: From Ottertail City go east on MN Hwy 108, on the edge of town turn north onto Buchanan Rd. Go north on Buchanan Rd. for 1 mile, then take a right onto field road. Plots are on the north side of field road.
