Home broken into in Underwood [UPDATED]

Published 10:43am Monday, September 12, 2011 Updated 12:44pm Monday, September 12, 2011

A burglar broke into an Underwood home over the weekend, but his or her attempts to get into a gun safe were unsuccessful.

The break-in was called into the sheriff’s office around 5:40 p.m. Sunday. Entry was gained by breaking a window out of a doorway. The gun safe had the appearance that unsuccessful attempts had been made at access, and it does not appear that anything else was stolen.

There are no suspects at this time.
