The Fergus Falls U12 boys soccer team was awarded the Outstanding Ambassadors of Teams Honoring Sportsmanship by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association for the summer season.

The OATHS award is evaluated by referees, who judge teams based on their players, coaches and spectators at the game.

The criteria includes fans creating a positive climate for all, fans supporting the efforts of all athletes, coaches treating players and officials with care and concern, coaches taking the lead in affecting positive fan behavior, players playing within the rules and players respecting the visiting team.

Each member of the Fergus Falls U12 team was given a certificate and pin, while the team was awarded a $50 gift certificate in exchange for goods at any Soccer USA.
