It has been a high spirited, high kick fall season for the Otter Fury Fall Dance Team.

Eight dancers from grades 7 through 11 from Fergus Fall and Underwood Schools entertained crowds during the Fergus Falls High School football and volleyball games.

The dance team performed twice for each sport. Seasoned dancers performed with novices to create a sparkling, high energy routine for Coach Breanna Priebe, who made her debut as an Otter Fury Dance coach.

Coach Breanna’s credentials include serving in the past as an assistant coach for Perham Just for Kix Dance Team and dancing for the Bemidji State University dance team.

“I am very proud of the ambition and work ethic the dancers displayed,” stated Coach Preibe. “Considering many were younger dancers, they gritted down and danced with pride for their team and their school.”

The Otter Fury Dance Team will launch into its competitive winter season by holding practices and try-outs.

All female students from 7th to 12th grade in Fergus Falls and Underwood Schools are invited to try out. Practice dates are Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 from 3:45-5:45 p.m. in the Roosevelt Gym where dancers will learn a routine to perform during try-out. The try-out date will be held on October 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the Roosevelt Gym.

Coach, Tana Zeisemer, beginning her second year of serving as head coach of the Otter Fury Dance Team, may be reached for further details at otterfurydt@aol.com or at 320-760-3606.

Coach Tana’s credentials include studying dance at St. Cloud State University, the Zenon Dance Academy, and the School of Performing Arts in Minneapolis. Prior to coaching for the Otter Fury Dance Team, she owned her own dance studio and danced semi-professionally.
