ROTHSAY – The undefeated Ulen-Hitterdal Spartans kept their record intact as they marched past the Rothsay Tigers in a 49-16 win last week. A good run game in the first half was not enough to keep the Spartans from a victory.

“Missing the playoffs for the second year in a row will add some serious motivation for us as we enter the off-season,” Rothsay coach Andrew Oland said. “We understand that commitment to rebuilding the Tiger football program from scratch was going to be very taxing, but the most difficult thing in my mind is having to leave our senior leaders behind.”

Senior Matt Zimmerman had 16 carries for 66 yards against a strong defensive line. Taylor Oien scored one touchdown on a 33-yard halfback pass.
