Arena a source of pride for FF
Published 11:15am Wednesday, November 23, 2011Congratulations to the city council, staff, school, private sector — everyone involved in working together to make the new Community Ice Arena a reality.
I am proud to say that I was here for the big push to help get the project rolling; I wish I could have shared in Sunday’s celebration and grand opening to see the smiles and excitement on the kids’ faces as they skate onto the ice with pride. I wish the best of luck to the Hockey and Figure skating groups for a successful season.
Mostly I would like to express the great feeling and heartfelt delight that the City Council and the School board partnered with the Hockey Association to make this a reality through all the adversity and opposition to the project. The people of Fergus Falls can be proud of this facility for many years to come.
It is my hope that this is only the beginning of thing to come for the city of Fergus fall. Thanks again to everyone.

You have no idea how happy we are, that you out in Washington, are thrilled to have been part of a project that was crammed down the throats of those who live here, and know that there are thing much more important to the lives of the citizens that live here.
I, for one, am glad that they built the arena…
