Joseph Sanderson and Nicole Rath of Fergus Falls and Carl Stenoien of Underwood recently completed eight-month service terms with Conservation Corps Minnesota, a nonprofit that engages young people in hands-on service managing natural resources, conserving energy and responding to disasters. From late March through November, 35 young adults worked outside in all seasons improving recreational trails, fighting wildfires, conducting prescribed burns, removing invasive species, planting trees and conducting other conservation projects to restore native habitat in northwest Minnesota.

Sanderson, Rath and Stenoien served on a crew with five other AmeriCorps members in Fergus Falls.
